First commercial wind farm in Maryland, USA
The first commercial wind farm in Maryland, USA, has just official opened. The wind farm is located at Backbone Mountain in Garrett County and is owned by Constellation Energy.
The new wind farm has 28 Clipper Wind Power 2,5 MW turbines. The farm will produce enough energy for 23.000 homes.
The about 80 meters high turbine towers have installed Work Cages from Avanti Wind Systems.
