New Avanti General Manager in India
Mr. B. Chandrasekar, 51, has been appointed General Manager and Head of Avanti Wind Systems in India. He holds a B. E. (Mechanical) from Madurai Karnaraj University, Karaikudi, and a Diploma in Marketing Management from Bombay University. He joins Avanti Wind Systems from a job as Vice President-Marketing and Head of Wind Resource Department in WinWinD Power Energy in Chennai.
The India market for wind power is one of the largest and fastest growing worldwide. Avanti Wind Systems in India has a factory and sales office at Chennai, where lifts and ladder systems are produced. Avanti also has a training centre at Chennai, providing safety training to service technicians working in towers.
