Avanti Service Lifts in Chinese Sinovel proto types
Avanti Wind Systems has just signed a contract with the Chinese Sinovel company, which is building two 3 MW prototype wind
turbine towers in Zhangjiakou in Inner Mongolia. Avanti will install Service Lifts in them.
The Danish based Avanti Wind
Systems is leading world market producer of service lifts and other personal safety systems to wind turbine towers. Avanti
has installed more than 12.000 Service Lifts in wind turbine towers worldwide - around half of those installed.
Avanti Service Lifts run on a wire system independently of the ladders in the tower. The service lifts enable technicians
to get to the middle and top of the tower without having to climb up the ladder. The lifts hoist technicians and their tools
up the tower safely, easil and quickly. The Avanti lift system has been designed so it can be used even before the wind turbine
is ready.
"Avanti Wind Systems already collaborate closely with Sinovel, and part of the new agreement also involves the
installation of lifts and the training of the personnel who will work in the towers," says General Manager for Avanti Wind
Systems in China, Mr. Peter Fejfer.
Avanti Wind Systems has also just signed a contract with the Chinese Bodeyulong for 19 Avanti Service Lifts to be installed at the wind turbine site at Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province in China. Avanti installed a service lift in the sites Face 1 Project earlier this year, but the owner has now decided to install service lifts in 19 towers in the Face 2 Project. The wind turbine towers is Sinovel 1.5 MW.
